Juan Carlos Kaski (UK)
Juan-Carlos Kaski is Emeritus Professor of Cardiovascular Science and the immediate past-director of the Cardiovascular and Cell Sciences Research Institute at St George’s, University of London, UK. His research areas include microvascular and vasospastic angina, pathogenesis of angina, inflammatory and immunological mechanisms of atherosclerosis and biomarkers of cardiovascular risk.
He is a Doctor Honoris Causa of several universities worldwide and Chairman-elect of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy. He is also a fellow of over 30 scientific societies worldwide.
Professor Kaski is the Editor-in-Chief of European Cardiology Review, Deputy Editor of the European Heart Journal, Editor of the ESC Handbook on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy and editorial board member of JACC and over 20 other peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has authored over 500 scientific papers.
